Russell Olley
Director
I founded Bishop Oak as there was a gap in the market for an outsourced payroll service that was fully HMRC compliant whilst providing a jargon-free, friendly service. My background in client relationship management and payroll meant that I wanted customer service to be at the heart of what we do. At Bishop Oak, we provide a flexible, personal payroll service that is accessible to all.
It was important to me that we built a team that cares and created a working environment that is open and enjoyable to be in. Of course, there are lots of challenges that come with starting your own business but I am enjoying the daily steps to reach our bigger goals.

Noush Shirmardi
Operations Director
As Operations Director at Bishop Oak, every day is different and every day I walk out of the office with more nuggets of industry knowledge than I walked in with! The team has made my transition from the world of corporate offices as smooth as can be and I enjoy the fresh challenge each day brings. It’s great to be part of a business from the start and be part of something great that disrupts the industry and world of payroll. When I’m not reading up on the latest payroll legislation, you’ll find me upcycling antique furniture, fuelling my endorphins at the gym or spending time with my family.

With a background in Sales, the move to Bishop Oak as Sales Director has been a great new challenge for me and the switch from selling office space to offering outsourced payroll services for recruitment agencies and the construction industry has been an insightful adjustment. Since joining Bishop Oak, it has been clear that the young (even if they’d probably refer to me as old), fresh and customer-centric approach of the team makes us different from other payroll providers.
When I’m not talking about payroll with potential customers, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching football. To be honest, if I wasn’t working in Sales I’d like to think I’d be living out my dream as a football manager!

As a Sales Account Manager at Bishop Oak, I take immense pride in my client-facing role, where building and nurturing long-lasting relationships is at the heart of everything I do. I truly enjoy connecting with clients and offering personalized support and guidance. Whether it’s a quick call, an in-person meeting, I’m always available to ensure they feel heard and valued. With a background in marketing and client management at an award-winning home construction company, I’ve been able to bring a personal touch to every client interaction. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, and I thrive in the dynamic nature of my role. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me enjoying outdoor walks with my dogs, soaking up the sunshine, and dreaming of my next vacation in the Maldives or Bali!

As Marketing Manager at Bishop Oak, I am responsible for all activities that generate awareness towards our growing brand. I’ve worked within the marketing industry for seven years, and always enjoy the challenges of taking on a new business category. Learning about outsourced payroll has been eye-opening, and I look forward to translating these lessons into useful information for our audience.

As the Operations and Finance Executive at Bishop Oak, I’ve been with the company since day one. I take pride in having a well-rounded skill set that benefits the entire team. My expertise spans across various operations from managing payroll and accounts to handling back-office duties and providing excellent customer service. What I love most about my job is being the go-to person for my colleagues and continuously empowering our team to reach its full potential. I’m always ready to offer support and share my knowledge to help our company thrive. Outside of work, I’m passionate about spending time with my pets, catching a good football match, and socializing with friends. Whether it’s relaxing with a good series or heading to the pub for a well-deserved break, I always make time to unwind and enjoy life.

As a Client Account Coordinator, I play a key role in efficiently onboarding workers and enabling a smooth payroll setup, from start to finish. As one of the newest members of the Operations team at Bishop Oak I’m excited to contribute fresh perspectives and new insights into our work. Previously, as a Retail Sales Manager, I built strong client relationships; a skillset I now use to understand client needs and drive successful outcomes in my current role. Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying quality time with my family at the beach—it’s my favourite way to unwind and recharge. Whether it’s a busy day at the office or a relaxing day by the sea, I always strive to bring my best energy to everything I do!

As a Client Account Coordinator and a valued long-term member of the Bishop Oak team, I play a key role in managing payroll and ensuring smooth processing. No two days are the same, and I enjoy tackling the different challenges that come with each workday- whether it’s payroll processing or account management. I pride myself on being highly efficient and getting things done quickly, which helps keep everything running smoothly. Looking ahead, I’m eager to deepen my expertise and continue growing in both my personal and professional life. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me at the gym or spending time with loved ones. With a smile, I’m prepared for whatever challenges lie ahead!

Account Executive
As an Account Executive at Bishop Oak, I work closely with our clients to manage their accounts and keep everything organized in our CRM system, while collaborating with our amazing sales and operations teams. Although I’m a recent addition to the team, I bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas. Thanks to my background in sales within the aesthetics industry, I’ve been able to apply my knowledge and expertise here, all while bringing a positive energy to everything I do. While stepping into this role was a big change, it’s been a smooth transition and incredibly rewarding. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, socializing with friends, or spending time with my little tortoise. Always with a smile, I’m ready to take on the next challenge!
